The anatomy of a Gummie!
General anatomy
Gummies are characterized by their thick, stocky builds, webbed toes and a semi-solid gel like oddity on their cheeks and belly. Their front paws are rounded and pudgy while their back paws are flat and wide. While Gummies are born and raised on all fours similar to a Daeling, all Goums will grow to be bipedal. |
How to color your Gummie!
Now that you have a grasp on how Gummies are built lets move on to coloring them! Coloring a Goum is a bit different from coloring a Daeling so please read very carefully.
Next we will move on to secondary colors, you can pick up to 3 colors from nature. These do not have to be part of the original base image, you WILL have to add it to your application though.
There are a few rules to keep in mind as you color. -Do not cover more than 60% of your Gummie with secondary colors. Generally if we can see what the base color is you'll be fine! -Keep an eye on how you mark your Gummie. We want to make sure you don't have markings that are featured as upgrades; ie. Stripes, bands, contour. -Gummies do not have accent colors outside of their gel. |
The next step is to pick a color for your gel!
You can pick any color you can imagine for your Gummie's gel but, you cannot use pure black or pure white or, very similar colors, to color their gel. Gel is to be ONE solid color only. They cannot be more than one color unless they are anniversary Gummies! Watch out! You can't change a Gummies gel colors once you pick! NOTE: The webbing of your Goum's toes will also be this color. |
The last step will be coloring eyes! This is the trickiest stage for coloring your Gummie, but bear with me. A Goum's eye is rather fancy and made of many parts. The Sclera will always be a dark grey, you may also tint this grey slightly with a color you think fits. Their sclera will NEVER be white. The iris consists of any single color, this means you cannot have dual colored eyes on your Goum. The Iris of your Goum can be any color under the sun excluding pure black and pure white. Goum's eyes have a strange ring in the middle. This ring is NOT a pupil. Goums may gain a pupil by normal methods, via upgrades. Heterochromia will not be allowed as it's an upgrade! |
Do's and Don'ts of Markings
Here are some examples of how to apply some popular beginner's markings that you may want to use!
You do not have to use these specific markings, these are just guidelines if you wish to use something similar.

How to send in an application
Now that you have your Gummie designed and colored, its time to send them in for approval!
To set up the application for the approval you must first download the proper template. After that, it's quite simple; you place the Gummie and the Colors you used in the correct positions, as well as adding their name to the name box! |
Once you have your template completed just post it with this information filled out:
Name: Name of your Gummie Biological sex: The bits your Goum was born with Gender: What your Goum actually is Slot used: EX.: Myo 1 Image used: The image(s) you used to inspire your Goum You then count your devits! That's right, approval applications count for 3 devits, even if you need to make edits! |
Finally you can send your application in for approval! We will feature your comment when we notice you. It means we are working on your application. A FEATURED COMMENT DOES NOT MEAN ACCEPTED. |
Once your Gummie has been approved, you'll receive your Goum's unique CCN. Once you add this new number to your description, the mod working on your application will accept it to the group!
